At the Costco near my place they have a 2 gig UltraII - CF card for sale for the price of $99 (CAD). This card has twice the capacity of my 1 gig Extreme III card for a bit less money. I've been reading on the differences between these 2 cards and there doesn't seem to be that much difference (I'm using a Canon 20D...trying to shoot only RAW). I wondered if anyone had experience with both of these cards and could give some insight on whether this is a good deal?

Richard

Hi Richard, I have both those cards in 2g version with the 20D. The 20D doesnt take advantage of the upper write speeds like the Nikons do, so it is a moot point. They are both great cards. (Keep in mind that I also dont shoot at 8fps!)

Check Rob Galbraith's site to see if your camera body can even take advantage of the extra speed the Extreme offers:
