I have a Pentax 67II. While shooting, the film winder got stuck. ( as in it will only move about 1/8") Did manage to unload the film and save the exposed frames.
Does anyone know a good place to send it for repairs. I have an etimate from a camera shop that said it would be approx $800 to fix. I find this a bit hard to believe and swallow as the body is $1500. I cant imagine this part costs half as much as the whole body did. Really want to use it again but cant really afford that much. Any help appreciated.
Dean

As the camera repairman explained to me... "You're not paying me $100 to solder a wire back onto a circuit board... you're paying me $100 because I have the knowledge, ability, and tools to diagnose the problem and fix your camera for you."
I'm sure there are some shops more local to you than Dallas-Fort Worth, but if you need info on a couple down here, I'll be glad to tell you who I've used in the past.

Probably right Wayne, bout like taking the car to a mechanic, its not what they do, its what they know. Still checking into a couple other places, but might be in touch. Would rather pay some shipping if I can get repairs done affordably.
