I am shooting with a D70s and want to do infra red images. I have the hoya 72 IR filter but I understand the Nikon put a IR reduction glass infront the sensor. Will I be able to do the ir images?

I plan to have one of my D70s converted to a IR camera only, by having the IR glass removed and having a filter cut in the correct shape and installed in the camera. Of course that is after I get my new D200!!

You gotta contact another shooter here, Dave Hickey. He's got a lot of experience in IR shooting and has a converted digital Nikon - although I've forgotten which model. His site is at http://hicspix.com/
