I may be looking to buy some VR glass as well so that is also a reason to look into Canon.

The 5D may be an idea too. I like the wider selection of cameras and lenses Canon offers.

Good idea on the rental. I checked with my local Dealer here and they don't do rentals. Canon does rentals out of NY but there is a waiting list. Guess I need to get in line.

Yep,...most likely this coming September.. So,... figure the 8K 1DsMk2 will be worth about half as much by October.. Not a bad idea to wait with a 5D in your hands until then.. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
