Prime vs. Zoom - Here's a test for all.

Not to hard to believe
I have the 85mm 1.8 it is a great lens
slightly better than my tamron 28-75 2.8

both are tons BETTER than nikons 28-70 2.8AF-S AND 80-200 2.8D
( apparently no one is supposed to say there are about 8 lenses that don't work well with the digital nikons )
somewhere (I thought it was on the nikon site) I found the info but I can't find it again ???
basically they will autofocus and the little green light comes on to say its in focus, but in reality it won't be in focus
I was looking at info on the 70-200VR and it specified that it works with all the digitals, which lead me to the other info

If we can get our schedules together, I'd be happy to bring it by to let you give it a spin on one of your shoots. I'd really like to see what it will do and take a few shots with a real lens on it. Shots of something prettier than old dusty fake flowers. How sad and pathetic is that! I'm only concerned that it's gonna create equipment envy on both our parts. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] I guess that's what being a man is all about. I'll also have to bring the JVC GY-HD100 video camera. You'll dig it.
