Thought this might be of interest. Here's a link to an article about a company that will take some of your recent digital SLR bodies and convert them to shoot only in infrared. Something to do when your bodies obselesce.

Agree completely with you Chip, except that I'd think it would be a better option to convert the camera body before it gets too obsolete. Just seems dicey to pay for the conversion only to have the shutter die a few weeks later, ya know?

My thoughts on it,
Dave

Images (out of camera and the desaturated and adjusted) from a converted Nikon D70.

Incidentally, I'll be bringing this camera along to Surf n Turf next weekend, so expect some new images from it soon.

That's true. It might be worthwhile to take a new D50 or 350D and just convert it out of the box. Then again, there are probably a lot of people around here with moderately or lightly used, soon-to-be-relegated-to-backup, D100s and 20Ds who are looking for something different.

Have fun at S&T II.

you may want to look at this link, It's a photoshop Action by Fred Miranda, it's not to bad for taking a color image and making it look similar to an infrared b/w
