Is there anything I can do for this ? My computer and monitor are calibrated and in PS is set up as Adobe 1998 RGB. Everything looks great but when I go to veiw on epson profile, everything looks a little washed out. It also prints just like it looks in the Epson viewing. Is there someway that I can get my printer to print what I normally see in Adobe 1998 or do I need to keep on adjusting as it prints in the epson view?

I hope I remember the solution to this one. I had the same problem with my Epson 2200. I spent many hours with Epson reps until one remembered "oh you have to do this". Essentially there are two areas where you specify who has control over color selection, one at the very beginning of the process, the second on the "print" area. If you go under the Photoshop Elements (or CS2) menu and select "Color management", then that takes precedence over anything else. I did that when I set up Elements, and the Preview always looked washed out and printed the same. When I unchecked every selection on "Color Management", and instead used "Adobe RGB" and "Perceptual" on the print menu then everything came out right. I hope this works for you. It seems to be a fairly common problem with Epson, so if I forgot the sequence, an Epson rep should be able to help if you prod them.

Rgds,

Tom

My apologies. Those choices are not under CS2. I thought I had checked before I answered. On CS2 using my Epson 2200, there are two (that I am aware of) color menus. On the "File" menu, I have a "color settings" selection. When I hit "Print" I have three drop down choices, the third of which says "Copies and Pages". Click that drop down menu and you will find "color management". There was a choice in Elements that was causing my problem, but as I said, it took about four hours on the phone with Epson to find it.

Good luck.
