Well, I bought one when they were first released. I was migrating from 35mm so it was a no brainer for me. I'm extremely pleased with it. I haven't seen any problems with the banding that a lot of people are complaining about, but I have occasionally seen some "combing" on blown out high contrast areas. I have to zoom in 200% to really see them and from what I understand it can be a somewhat common occurrance with digital. Just one of the things to learn.
I'm not 100% sure of the D100 features, but obviously you're getting higher resolution and a bigger screen. The rest of the features are probably subjective and up to you to decide if its worth it to upgrade.
Obviously, I can (and will) post a shot from it, but it's probably somewhat meaningless given my lens choice yadda yadda yadda and I'm sure you've looked at 100% pics from several other photogs already.
This image is photoshopped, but I have left some of the original skin texture in tact. Pay attention to the fine hairs on her shoulder and around her lips. Also the thread count is easily visible on her dress and the chair.
Hope this helps
