Sorry guys, I've not kept up with digital for a while. I'm looking at the Canon Powershot S80 specs for recording modes. Can someone tell me what this is, and how it is different from raw mode (which the S80 does not seem to have)?

Thanks

Steve

DPOF (Digital Print Order format) is a format which allows the user of a digicam to define which captured images on the storage card are to be printed, together with information on the number of copies or other image information.
It usually consists of a set of text files in a special directory on the storage card. This option can be assessed through one of the menu modes on the camera. The storage card can then be taken to a print shop or output through compatible desktop printers at home.
Not sure how it differs if at all from RAW since it appears to add extra data to each file for printing purposes.

Thank-you. DPOF could then be independent of the image file format it sounds like. I'm starting to get the impression that unless the camera specs specifically state RAW I can assume it doesn't have it.

Thanks,
Steve
