This is what I use for my portfolio books and why:
The books can fit into my laptop computer bag.
The books are presentable looking, and show an image larger than 8x10.
The books are still the standard for most modeling agencies.
The pages are a nice viewable size...you don't have to place it on a table to turn the pages..and it is a nice actual book..not one of those big bulky plastic 11x14 cases....and most times when I see other photographer's 11x14 books, they'll have 8x10 pics in them anyway..
I bought mine from www.models-mart.com
the "Scuba" book, with removable pages...because it has the best binder...the one without removable pages cracked along the binder.. and it did this for a model I know too.. I believe this is because the materials don't hold up in cold climates like mine.. but, the ones with removable pages are made very well.. Mine feature 20 pages, for 40 pics..and are black.....black is the best presentational looking colour to have your work displayed against.
Yep,...that's what I do...and so far, everyone who I show my books to is really impressed with them..
