Does anyone know if you can set the focus area to the center only! why would I need the other focus areas?? I hate than when I scroll images sometimes the focus gets moved because they are on the same control button
What Settings and custom settings do you find work best for you with the Fuji S2?

Ive noticed when I shoot in the studio my images are very sharp..but when I go outside they seem to be alot softer.... How do you set for maximum sharpness settings?

Im really not sure how to explain what Im asking...if any Fuji shooters wouldnt mind giving me a call...

The focus points are preferences to auto focus shooters on which point depending on composition and crop they like to use. If you are a shoot and preview/toggle kind of guy, it's easy for the user to point the autofocus grid to another point. All you do is toggle it back to desired area and then you can lock it in.

WE ruled that condensation was a problem with his blurry effect that he was experiencing.

Hi Don

Double check that you have the "closest subject priority" switched off for normal shooting. If it's on, you may be trying to focus on the subject, but the camera will focus on whatever is closest to it.

I have mine set up as follows:

WB - mostly auto lately as I only shoot RAW and can adjust later and it seems to do a reasonable job

Colour - STD
Tone - STD
Sharpness - OFF

Hope this helps. How is yours set up?

I note that JT seems to shoot in BW mode with the obvious spectacular results, but I've never tried as I read somewhere that it was just a grey scale image that loses lots of information. Is this true?

Well I just saw this, or I would have called as well. I had this problem with my first S2, solved it (sort of), and then in talking with my buddy Shadow found that he had the same problem. Solved it on S2 #2 as well.
