I got 2 degrees form photo shop. Thats what it takes to square things up again.

OK. Well, can you point us to a NEF file that shows the problem you're talking about? If not a NEF, how about a full-size JPEG without any editing done at all.

Okay, here's my solution to the flash problem because I'm a cheap bastard. My D70 is the same way but on my SB28, there is a place for the cord. If you have the flash attatched and leave the 28 off, it fires the strobes. If you have a flash with the sync cord plug, it just might work. That's my ultra cheap solution. Hope that helps.

I have been shooting with this camera for over 2 years. I have shot with other cameras. This one seems to just want to be difficult at times. I t tends to err on the cold end. I shoot long exposures with it . It does tend to get noisy. I asure you I have read the manual many times.
The below image was set up and leveled on a good tripod. The line the top stairs was parallel with the frame of the view finder. The tilt wasn't there wile I was in school. You can bet the teacher would have blasted me for it.

Do all of your setups have this 2 degree tilt or just some of them? I know all the frames in a particular setup may be tilted because you shot them all with the tripod locked down for that setup.

In this frame what you are tellimg me is you PERFECTLY aligned everything perpendicular to the ground and the building and compensated for perspective.

The viewfinder in my humble opinion is too small to do that, because you could have a small tilt lets say 2 degrees and not notice it.

So tell is it all your setups or just some?

BTW have you turned on your grid lines in the viewfinder, this may help out.

I assume you looked at the picture posted above. Yes grid lines alway on, looking through the veiwfinder things line up perfectly. I actually didn't catch it till people started telling me I didn't need the tilt, or how gross a mistake I made by not correcting the mistake. A t that point I started paying close attention to the set up camera position ect, ect. Thats also when I discovered the veiw finder is slightly larger than my picture. Some pictures its not noticeable but still there.
Only when downloaded can you see the tilt. The image on the computer is larger than the one you see on the camera screen.

White balence Fluorescent is blue tinted calibrate to a 18% grey card still blue in all 6 f-stop positions. Cloudy is the same way. Incandessant is kinda ok. I can get it close but still takes photoshop to clean up.( not blue here but amber )
Auto mode it's close most of the time.
