Yep,... a plugin is now available for the 5D RAW files..However, you must have Photoshop CS2....it doesn't work with CS..

I bought CS2 today, and worked on my first 5D RAW file.. ....nothing really new... I learned that I have to update my Mac's OS to a newer version or it won't run as good as it could,...oh,...and the plugin for some screwy reason is a temp version, good only f or 30 days,...then after that, you will have a window pop up to anoy they hell out of you every time you open a RAW file from the 5D..

BTW, the plugin is also compatable with the 1Dmk2N body as well..

I'm having some trouble getting this to work.
My RAW files from the 5D I used a while back have a .CR2 extension.
I'm on a PC with PSCS2.
Where would I put the new plug-in in CS2?

I followed the instructions on the ADOBE site but that didn't work.
I'm thinking those instructions are for a MAC?

Thanks

Howard

Ok,...I shoot a card full of RAW images, that I want to make into a "web Photo Gallery".... I shot all verticals,...and they all appear horizontal,...which looks like hell to me.. I want them to appear vertical...and so, I select all,...and I want to rotate them 90º CC, and it doesn't allow me to do that.. Is there some dinky little thing I have to switch on, or off, or set something somewhere that enables me to rotate the dang pics..?

I use a PC. And let me tell you something JP, I'm using Photoshop 5 with a 500mhz processor, with 384mb's of ram. When using a Mac G4, 500mhz, with 512mb or ram, the Mac was much faster. Mac's by far are better for using programs like Photoshop, InDesigh, Acrobat, and anything else graphics. If I had the money, I'd have a Mac, trust me. I still like Nikon, but Canon is still a great camera manufacturer. Hey, if they weren't, Nikon wouldn't be in compitition for the top spot in that area with them. But I still say someone with no photographic skill or talent using either one, will give bad results, but someone like us, well, the results will be much better.

Man, that [censored] was top-of-the-line back in 1998.. My POS Dell P2 was much like that.. I can't believe I actually bought a windows version of PS for that thing.. Seriously,....everyone I work with uses a Mac.. every sports, commercial , fashion photographer I know uses a Mac.. every graphics shop, lab, ad agency uses Mac.. Every publisher I work with has the place stocked with Mac...even the writers..not just the AD's or editors.. I switched to Mac because I was on the "outside" of the biz back in 2001.. I haven't looked back since......but DELL still sends me their catalogue every month to show me what new "personal arcade machines" (that become more infected than a French Horror)...they are coming out with..

Enjoy which ever you use guy.. As long as it works for what you are doing,.....who cares..
