Thought about the Epson P2000? I think the 4000 may be available now.

I say it's worth a shot. It might be kind of slow, but if it's just temporary, then why not. There's no real need to worry about an adaptor, as long as you have a USB port, which is also the way that it charges the battery, but if you have one, then you know that already.

Hey Jimmy
How you like your flashtrax ?

I like mine But if I leave the battery in it over night ( and OFF ) it gets drained.

However it I have the battery unattached it stays charged for months

i've noticed the same problem with the battery, except mine doesn't stay charged quite that long when it's unattached. i like the unit and have found it very useful when i'm on a location and i want to make sure i back everything up. if it's really important stuff, i back up to the flashtrax AND i make a CD before i clear the card. it's easier than carrying around a laptop.

I have an Archos AV420. Picked it up for about $275 new on ebay. I love it! Built in CF card reader and LCD. I can take a break and dump everything from the card to the 20Gb hard drive. You can view your jpeg images right away and even slideshow them. You can copy RAW images over, but it will not display RAW images on the LCD screen. Works well for my purposes.
