Hey Nikon fans, found this on the rec.photo.equipment.35mm newsgroup. The Second link has photos of the D 200.

"Someone made some screen dumps before the "leak" was removed again.
This becomes kind of tiresome with Nikon... Is this really necessary
to remove this page again?"

Also a series of larger images was posted on the web as well, for
example here:

Why does it have dual DOF preview buttons if it doesn't have a vertical grip?

Looks like some nice PS work between a D100 and a D2H or X.

And if it IS real, why didn't they go ahead all the way and just use the same chassis as the D2H/X rather than sawing it off? I mean, everything else that I can see is identical except for the pilot light and the pop-up flash...

The top button is DOF preview, and the bottom is a configurable button. For some reason, Nikon places the DOF preview button in the middle instead of the bottom left corner of the body. Then again, Canon prosumer bodies place the DOF preview button on the right side of the body, so it is activated by your thumb instead of your pinkie.

How many Nikon users are tempted by the D200? And what are you stepping up from? I'm a D70 shooter and I'm tempted I'm lured by the high megapixel count.

Jon, the bottom button is not a DOF preview button. It is the Function button used to change custom shooting settings quickly. Push it in and rotate the thumb dial to change the way your camera behaves.

I currently have my D2X set so that this turns on the high speed crop, but you can set it to other things.
