Since Microsoft in their wisdom no longer supports Explorer for the Mac which of the many out there does those of us using Macs use. I have been using Safari but wonder if something else might be better.

I've been using Firefox on all three platforms I run; Mac OS X Tiger, Suse Linux 9.3, and Windows XP pro. I can swap bookmarks and use the same plugins and extensions on all three. I even run the brushed metal look and feel so they act the same. Give it a try at:

I'm testing both Opera and Firefox now. I lean toward firefox but can't transfer my bookmarks from Safari, am I missing something?

I never really liked Explorer, so that's a non issue for me. Being part of what is apparently dying breed, I stil use Betscape. It ain't broke, so I see no need to fix it.

Hmmmm....
In Safari go to file export and it will export your bookmarks to a html file. Then you can open the manage bookmarks tool and import the html file from your desktop into Firefox.

2.0.1

Standard with Tiger and current updates.

It's on the File menu. If you don't have that, maybe you could try an online update.

I've really tired of IE. I'm a big fan of FireFox (I've been using it since January). The only problem I've had with it is incompatible javascripts on some sites (including GG when adding images from your portfolio), but I still give it a thumbs up.

Hackman fixed this little bug along with a couple of others about two months ago. If you find anything wacky with Firefox on this site, a polite email to him letting him know what you think is wrong goes a long way.
