So I made the jump and bought a MAC and LOVE IT by the way.

Question though. Does Adobe offer a transfer program or am I screwed with having to buy another version of Adobe?

Note: I have CS vs. CS2 So I'm assuming I'll have to buy a new one since they don't distribute the version I even have anymore.

Not completely....I FINALLY got in touch with someone at Adobe and they will give me a FULL version of CS2 at the upgrade price of $149. So basically I get a upgrade, but the full version. I don't have to retain my old key and it's for MAC instead...not too bad of a deal....

Sorry Jimmy, but you are flat wrong.

I called Adobe when I switched (4/2005) and was able to get a huge discount on PSCS2 for the Mac by giving up my license on the PC. You have to jump through hoops and sign a document stating you have destroyed the old software, but is far better than the alternative. If you need to upgrade from CS or earlier on the PC, it costs just the upgrade fee.

It's well worth a phone call to Adobe customer service. They are really nice folks .

Yep - you're correct. I switched and it cost me the price of the CDs -- Around $20 USD.

sorry if I scared you, but I had read of others who simply purchased alternate copies, although I do not know who they asked, perhaps a POS (point of sale) type person...

My first instinct is to say that you need to purchase a new version for the new computer. srwatters did bring up a valid point when he contacted Adobe about the situation, but I believe he had to destroy the old copy. I say that you need to buy a new copy, just so that you have a valid license for the PC version, and a valid license for the Mac Version.
