Anyone have a good reliable source to get rosco gels?

I noticed that a new softbox that I have cools the light temp by an appreciable amount. I'd like to get a slight warming gel to counteract that effect. Of couse, then I'll have to figure out how to attach it while using the softbox!

Plus, if anyone has any suggestions on a "must have" gel, I'm all ears.

B&H carries them. They have sampler packs that are quite handy.

Try a theatrical supply store, usually have been able to find 20x24" sheets and normally cheaper than an actual photo store. They will also normally have a greater selection.

Good warming filters to have are Bastard Amber, CTO's or Straw

John

Ditto what JohnW says.

I picked up some 20x24 gels at a lighting place here in Nashville for about $5 a piece.

Yep,....the same people who make light stands and tripods...

They IMO make the best gels because I couldn't tell you where to buy them.....I haven't had to replace them since I bought them 8 years ago! I have owned Rosco gels in the past,...and had those thin gels melt on me. ....That's why I tried those Bogan gels..
