i know JP has one of these and he expressed how much he likes it. and back when i was still shooting with FD lenses, my 135 was my fave... but i was shooting mostly actor's headshots with it and it was the perfect lens for that. so anyone else have this lens and, if so, how do you like it?

Just shot this the other day..

This downsized photo, that I saved for the web, and reduced it to less than 500kb's doesn't quite cut it.....it's a fairly good example of what the 135mm f2.0 L can do.. The prints I have in my book are just awesome...the 135 outperforms the 85mm f1.8 any day...with it's colour enrichment, resolving power, and contrast,...and as you know the 85 1.8 is a decent lens..

I have little use for the 70-200mm f2.8 L lens aside from covering some events and sports..but for photographing people, like PR photos, fashion, glamour,...I never use the 70-200L..

JP

I have one, I use it more for indoor sports, very fast lens. And yes ,it does work great for portraits, it is a great lens.

The picture I'm posting here was shot with the 135mm-available light, 320/f2, ISO 1250.

My friend has this Lens and I have used it a few times (He is a Sports Shooter). It is a nice Lens but my Studio is too short to use it adequately.

What you may really love is the Canon 85mm F1.2

It is an awesome Lens.
