to make photos from the CD's in effect you "licence" them to do so. You probably should not put a logo on them since many if not most print places will assume it to be a copyright and refuse to print them without written permission to do so.

This may be overkill, but when I shoot sports photos I provide two sets of images. The originals, and a set that has been re-sized for web use. I don't touch the full-size images, but I put my logo on the web images. I figure that I'm saving them the hassle of resizing (which most folks don't have a clue how to do properly). If they don't want my logo there, they can resize the images themselves from the untouched originals.

The deal is,...if I'm placing something on the internet, I put my mark on it..if someone buys a print,..say like for personal use,..I'll make it very small in the corner.. If they are going to put it on the web,...then no if they pay me for it,..and I make them pay me for it....since I will probably not get photo credit for it.. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] If it appears in a publication,... then absolutely not because I am getting photo credit for the shot in addition to them paying for the shot..

However,...these dime a dozen "glam" mags..like Maxim & Teeze to name a few,...they don't pay squat for our photo submissions of hot looking models...so,...if they aren't going to pay me for the use of the picture,...but think that they can make me happy by giving me a photo credit that no one really sees,...then they can accept the fact that my mark must appear on my photo when it gets published, or I'm sending them an invoice....because after having my credited work published for several years, it has lead to me getting 0 jobs! It's more of a "look at me..I got published in magazine X because I am so great and awesome".. For me,...I'd rather see a check in the mail..
