I used to use one about ten years ago and I liked the idea I just didn't like the accuracy. Anyone using a newer model?

I do a lot of retouching of old photos, and I'm thinking of getting a new one.

Size matters here, go for the biggie ( 9x12 ). You''ll love it.

Ya know, honestly sometimes.

IMHO, and from most I speak with. If your into graphic arts and a lot of free hand design the 9x12 is a must. But with most photographers 6x8 does the job on images. The 4x5 i just can't fathom at all, unless your on the road 24/7.

But hey to each there own

...9x12 is rather nice .... just....HUGE

The 9x12 also doubles as a nice mouse pad - and it includes the mouse. Since I bought it for the home office, I chose the large one. I have no intention to travel with it - or my workstation for that matter

When traveling, it's just a small notebook, glidepad, and batteries. Nothing fancy.

....they all should come with a 5-button mouse.....and yes, for conventional use, can't argue the surface area on the 9x12.

I once was on the floor laughing at my buddy at Wacom who i was rooming on the road with attempt to pack his personal 9x12 he liked to demo with into his carry on bag

When you get that it should just fuze to the desktop

I use a 6x8 to illustrate children's book with. I don't have real estate on my desk, nor the cash, for the big one.

hiya. been using one for 4-5 years now. the accuracy is fantastic!! i like to show it off to friends when i sign my name or draw easily a circle and the line ends match up quickly and actually touch!!

i retouch some fotos (blemishes, stop signs, etc) and blow up the image to 400% then start to work. i can easily edit and with HIGH details. i used to have a serial port tablet, then updated a few years back to USB. i use the cordless pen for everything!! WP prgs, surfing, everyTHING!!! i have the cordless mouse but never use it. remember that in using a wacom you step up to 1,000+ in dpi accuracy!

also, using a pen is more natural than a mouse. it is a bit to get used to, but once you do, you wont look back!!

i hate the mouse now!!!!

oh, when i take my laptop, i take my 4x5 tablet with me and hook it up to one of the 3 usb ports i have. dont laugh, 4x5 is the only one i can afford. if i actually started making $$, i'd buy a larger one!!

when i go on my foto trip thru the USA and Canada next year, i wont take my laptop with me (crashed, dropped, bumped too many times!) but i WILL take the tablet to plug in and use when i'm editing the pixs for the models. have done it on small trips around the area and it's great for my wrist!!
