Has anyone taken pictures with this camera. I just bought one to try and get into digital photography. Any response would be nice. Thanks

I just bought it and don't have it yet. It is a canon mount.

SELL IT RIGHT NOW!!!

I am serious!!

For one, It's a Sigma body.. not a Canon based body..

The AF stinks!

The LCD is small..

The frame rate is very very slow..

The "plumming"..(best way to describe it) is slow..

The flash sync is 1/160th!! the lowest iso speed is 160 in any pratical useage..

It's not the most comfortable to hand hold, or opporate either..

Kodak discontinued the production of this camera..

It has "issues"..

AND,... I can't say specifically why, but it will be worth about as much as a hair brush very soon!! Trust me on that one..

Send it back to where ever you bought it,..or resell it on ebay if you bought it from there..

Oh, and for a discontinued camera, with all those specs which came out over a year ago.. technology has made more advances for less money.

I can't say any more than that right now...other than,.......something better is right around the corner.. You'll see..

The merits of your post aside (and you are correct on all points) remember there is ALWAYS something better just around the corner, but we'll never run out of corners. But I agree, I think I'd get rid of that camera ASAP no matter what's around the corner. I just passed on the Nikon version and bought the D2X.
