I've been experimenting with a custom plugin/script from Fred Miranda called Velvia Vision ( http://tinyurl.com/6nvqr ) and in creating an action that will do some of the same things. I'm not there yet, but wanted to post an example to see what people think and how it works on different monitors. So any comments will be helpful.

Here is the original image directly from RAW conversion in CS2:

Here is the same image but with my action applied to it:

Of course keep in mind that there are hundreds of combinations of choices that could be made in the Miranda interface and this just represents one of them.

Cheers,
rfs

Well, on my monitor the FM version is my least favorite. It seems a bit flat. The one with your action is certainly more 'punchy'...I like the increased contrast, warmth, and saturation.....but it might be a little much for me. I would probably drop the opacity a touch.....assuming it's on its own layer.

All in all, it looks promising....not that the original version isn't gorgeous

Yes, the action I created, ends with the final effect on its own layer so I can use any blend mode, or adjust the opacity to fine tune the effect.
Thanks for the comments.
