I want to start doing my post processing with a Wacom tablet. What is the difference between the Graphire and the Intuos models? I have a 19 in monitor. I went to the Wacom website but that didn't tell me much. I would rather hear advice from a real person that actually uses one. Thanks

graphire is more inexpensive line...

not as sensitive as the intuos line.

if you are an artist in any form
go intuous, you will not regret it--- I use it all the time.

6x8 but have the large 12x18 also. I find the 6x8 meets my needs just fine. I have also used the graphire but much prefer the Intuos. I only wish I could afford the Intuos 3.

Pressure sensitivity and the macro and touch zoom keys are the big winners for the Intuos 3 tablet. Go with the 6x8 if your doing more photo work, if its purely more graphic work go large with the 9x12.

The graphire is adequate but not nearly as enjoyable to use
