Chuck,

In addition to what Don said, the pad is also pressure sensitive. So as you press harder, the opacity of the brush you're using can increase or decrease. Helpful when you're trying to selectively erase or burn or something like that. I'm hoping anyway. Anxious to try it.

Paperwieght?...actually I use the mouse...Im limited on desk space..you have to go into the wacom utility and set the mouse up properly though..or it acts as the pen!

Actually this one switches to mouse mode automatically when you put the mouse on it. Not too bad! Still got the old mouse connected though.

I have the 6x8 here at the house where I do most of my editing... I use a 4x5 at the studio and I much prefer the larger tablet. I hate to do any editing on a computer that doesnt have one. Takes a couple days to get used to it but then you wont want to be without it.

Yeah, I can tell it's going to take a while to get used to this. Some of the things it'll do are really cool though. I can certainly see how it would be diffcult to go back to just a mouse.
