light brushes.

Just kidding. I experimented with it years ago and used miltary flashlights because they had colored filters which made for interesting effects. But I would just use a small flashlight sparklers since July 4th is coming up.

A mini-mag light works pretty well.

I can't believe that you didn't ask me this question as I have done some of these shots right here in OUR studio using YOUR mag light. I guess The Rocket doesn't need help from the likes of me. (inside joke)

Here's an image of Tiffany from the Imagery workshop in Keller Texas last weekend that may answer the question.

Cheers,

I've used a 2M candlepower spotlight from Wal-mart, a Pelican flashlight, a micro techna-lite, a flexible mirror reflecting a flashlight, a light sabre spoon from a box of Frosted Flakes, a small flash, a big-ass Metz flash, sparklers, glo-sticks... you get the idea.

If you shoot digital it's easy cause you just chimp your way through it until you get the amount of exposure you want.
