Working on a bunch of images from recent shoots and its become apparent my PC monitor is on its last legs (Princton Graphics AGF900).....I'm considering a flat panel to replace it, but I've heard good and bad in that area as far as accurate color reproduction and set up capabilities. I'm not apposed to getting another CRT monitor, but the extra desktop space would be one plus for going with a flat panel. Recommendations?

Thanks.

Ron

I use a 19" calibrated CRT for the image and an uncalibrated 17" LCD for the PS CS2 tools and palettes.

What brand/model is your 19" monitor, and what system are you on? I'm on my second Lacie Electron 19 Blue (Windows XP) and so far I'm not impressed (it may be headed back again). My Dell LCD looks stunning.

says that CRT's calibrate better but I'm not so sure anymore. I wouldn't scrimp on anything that is meant to be the main monitor which ever you choose. I subscribe to Tim Grey's DDQ A sometime daily newsletter (http://www.timgrey.com/) and he seems to think the LCD's are the thing of the future. Truth be known CRT's are becoming scarcer and scarcer. He like the top of the line Viewsonics. I have CRT's both Viewsonic P95f and LaCie blue at work and like either one thought the Viewsonic was $100 cheaper.
