Can anyone tell me if this is true? I took it off the Nikonians.org website (here's the page link: http://www.nikonians.org/html/resour.../f4/f4_11.html ), but I can't quite believe it. I can't find anything about lithium batteries in the manual (maybe because they weren't invented when I bought my F4e!).

"A word of caution on AA lithium batteries for the F4: Not recommended by the factory because of the original voltage on these batteries when new and their tendency toward voltage fluctuations can indeed hurt the camera and shorten its life."

There is a warning on Lithium batteries for the Fuji S1 and S2. They generate more heat when operating than the alkalines or similar batteries. Not good for the camera if it wasn't designed for it.

Be careful with the new Energizer batteries -- they are all silver but have a Lithium and a Titanium. They look the same, and both claim to be long lasting but the Lithium is not good for the camera.
