The Canon rep / educator named "Mary" from Chicago, mentioned the same thing....and also mentioned that she was issued a 20D with a Sandisk card..... I use Lexart cards exclusively because I haven't been let down by them yet..

I own 2gig 80x, 1gig 80x, 512mb 80x 256mb 40x and 160mb .....12x (?I think?....or is it 8x..??) cards and haven't had any trouble with any of them aside from one 256 40x card that I didn't eject properly.. (my dumbass fault).....I haven't touched that card in a year or so now....

The funny thing that she said in front of a lot of people attending her seminar is that there is no difference in write speeds from the card to the camera....which I know not to be true... because I have used my slow cards and the images don't appear as quickly as do the images from the 80x cards....go figure....She also said that Canon's "Digipack" software is "much better than Photoshop CS's RAW conversion software"....which sounded like more Canon company propapaganda to me)... well, she mentions that the 80x cards only "download faster".....duh...like that is just as important to me...and if you have a fire wire reader (Lexar's fire wire reader is only 50 bucks at Calumet)....you will see the difference.....like day is to night in comparrison to usb-2 readers.....which totally suck because they are totally slow!! Fire wire readers by Lexar are the best 50 bucks you will ever spend! ....trust me.. I wouldn't lie to you..

Bottom line,....Lexar CF cards...80x ....so far.....so good!

I don't use anything but Lexar Pro cards and FireWire readers, so I'm a big fan.. When I see articles like the one I referenced, I post them to help people keep from getting in a jam.. No brand bashing or anything like that, just trying to be a good guy..
