I'm getting ready to buy some pocket wizards for my Alien Bees. My concern is that I plan on adding Hensel's Porty to my system before the end of the year, and will be using them in conjuction with the Alien Bees. Hensel appears to make a remote trigger themselves though. Do I have to use it for the Hensel's or will the Pcket Wizard be just fine?

To complicate things even more, I have a Sekonic light meter that is compatible with the Pocket Wizards. Also, the Nikon D-series can have a Pocket Wizard transmitter built into the body as an aftermarket addition, which is something else I might purchase soon...

So, I'm really liking the wizards, but will they work fine on the Hensel Porty?
Here's the link to the Porty RC....

Most modern pro flashes have a slave built in. So you generally attach the Pocket wizard receiver to one of the flash units and when it fires, it triggers the rest. That is the way I've always done it.
Cheers,

You can use PW with the Hensel's. If you are getting the Porty don't buy the 'Preminum' thats the model with built-in radio. However, Hensel's radio system gives allows you to change the lights from your camera mounted transmitter.

There great and you can remote fire the camera with the top of the line models too.

All you have to do is get the rite cable from PW for you lights.
