I need to get inside my Bee to fix the socket that the sink cable plugs in to. I had a wizard plugged into it and it came loose from the velcro and ripped out and bent the tab in the socket. I took off the 4 front screws and all that came off was the crome plate on the front.

How can I get at the sink socket ?

I might add I love the Bees...They are much better then my JTL versa lites..

Mike

My day job is an electronics tech . So I have the background to fix it. I
just did not see a way to get to the back of the light. The bulb was in the
way of pulling the front off all the way. Sometimes it's just better to ask
then to figure it out yourself..

Take a look at this page. He's taken one apart and there are some photos that might be of some assistance.

Don't know if it matters to you or not, but don't open it if you want to keep your warranty! I called and asked about this for a issue I was having and it was a no, no

For what it's worth.....

CCnik!! you sent me a PM asking me about JTL lights..but you're not accepting PMs
So I tell you in here...once the flash strobe burns out on JTL 160 lights you cannot replace the flash tube...JTL tells me its cheaper to buy a new head at 105.00...the flash expectancy on JTL 160 is only 8,000 flashes...so I called JTL when my burned out..and they agree'd when I told them the 160's are basically disposable lights....I was not happy. I only had them a little over a year I bought the set with two lights, two umbrellas and stands for 400.00. doesnt sound like a good investment to me....so I wont purchase another JTL product.
they are inexpensive because they are Cheap!!
sorry to highjack this thread...but I had no way of answering this persons question in a private message.
Don.

Ooops! Sorry about that. Thanks for the info. And I too am sorry about the hijack. This is why I sent the PM. I'll go and change my settings, once I figure it out.

edit: Okay, I found it.
