I have used the white paper for shoots but it gets dirty and beat up . Is there another type of white seemless that is flat and can handle the heel from the models foot ?

try canvas. I had a photogrepher use it in a shoot and it held up very well and actually added a bit of texture to the shot.

Hi Summer,
I am looking to get the same efect as the white paper for catalog shoots. The paper works good but it does not last . I hate to buy stuff over and over.

the back side of linoleum flooring matirial. Mount it, paint it with flat white primer, and it will last until you need to repaint it... and you can repaint it over and over and over... We mount it in our studio with a 2x4 bolted to the wall. It's great.

White Formica or flooring is pretty good for dirty feet girls.
Also try tape on bottom of their shoes.

Go to Home Depot and check the paneling section. They sell 4x8 panels that are perfect for what you're doing. They're about $11 each, and they're light enough for one person to carry easily. Tuck the paper under the backside, the edge will vanish.

Here's one with that setup.

I have a "raw" canvas that I use. I attach to it some white sheer fabric, and it works very well.

I used the back side of roll flooring in my other studio but haven't used it at the new one.

If you go that route you have a choice between the kind you glue down and the kind that stays down on it's own. I used the glueless because the floor was carpeted and it was less susceptable to being punched through... costs more though. Now that I have a wood floor I would probably choose the regular linoleum instead

I did have a hard time keeping it clean and painting wasn't always convenient. Next time I shoot on white I'll probably try the 'bathroom board' idea.

Tape on the shoes or brand new shoes works well too.

Tyvek is a possibility too, there was a recent discussion about it here.
