I was about to take the plunge this week and buy an Epson 4000. Now I hear the 4800 will be out in two weeks. Should I wait? Anybody know anything about this bad boy?

You can never keep up with the versions.
It would be kool to see comparisons published here {ie 4000 vs 4800 vs HP 300}.
I am seeing some nice HP stuff now and considering the switch.

I hear it's supposed to kick @%$ when it comes to black & white! I'm actually due to receive mine via the Epson Gemini II program by the end of the month...I'll report back then.

It's a "lease to Own" program where to get a 4800 and agree to purchace your ink and paper from a specific Epson dealer. The price per print (8x10) is about $1.25 each. But it's 2 year commitment. I haven't decided if I'm going to sign up or buy a 4800 outright yet...I gotta look at the numbers again.
