Theres an ad for a *like new* canon 10d (body only) selling for $750. He claims he had it only for about half a year. Everything is included in the sale along with an unexpired extended warranty (transferrable to new owner). So I can really find out how long he had it from whats left with the warranty. I've been trying to get my hands on a dSLR and they're itching to dig in my wallet. It's not too deep but I can manage this price opposed to the 20d which is almost twice as much. I was pretty close to getting the 300d for $600 but why not add the extra $150 for additional useful settings right? Did I mention that a 512mb card, camera case, and car reader was included with this purchase too.. so what yall think?

by the way.. this is my birthday present to myself.

I would check ebay, Craigs List, etc. just to make sure the price is in line with other 10d cameras for sale. I have the 10d (as well as the 1d Mark II) and I really like is. Good Luck!

This is the lowest I seen it on Craigs and I'm a little hesistant on ebay. At least on Craigs you can actually go to the sellers home, test it, and bargain. The price is in line with ebay too and it comes with a 5yr extended warranty which makes it attractive. Thanks for the help..

by the way.. saw your post on the harley.. congrats and safe riding...

I'm selling two 10D bodies for $700.00 each... both come with the battery grips...which are usually sold separately... along with two batteries, original boxes... One is a lot newer in looks better, the other is older, missing some paint but has a brand new shutter..

To the best of my knowledge, the Canon warranty is not transferable. The best I have ever heard of anybody doing is tell Canon that it was a gift from the person who bought it. The warranty card is of no value, you need a receipt to prove the equipment is within the warranty period.

In general it is and think of the 20D at twice the price and only 30% more resolution. You will not see increased resolution till you shoot identical subjects in indentical settings at higher magnification - or resolution test targets. Your best buys are always the slightly older model - I want a D1s at half the price of the D1s II.
If you are interested in a low miles 1 year old 10D w 24 - 85 USM zoom - call me.

"the company that I originally purchased the extended warranty from offers a transfer to a new owner for $12.50 (included in my selling price). One of us submits your info and they replace me as the warranty holder." -from seller

this sound more convincing? i imagine we would do this over the phone so i would know immediately right then and there??

exactly why i want the 10d.. 8mp is not a significant jump up in resolution for me at least and it was once the price of the 20d im not also planning on printing poster size images as of yet either.. shoot me an asking price for that 10d ill keep this one in mind too.. thanks!

The 10D is a great camera. I upgraded to the 20D and it is even greater. The instant on of the 20D was the biggest attraction for me. I was able to sell my 10D for $1100 but I sold it within days of buying the 20D which was days after its release.
You can't go wrong with the 10D. Here is one of my 10D shots:

Cheers,
