I don't have an Epson printer. I don't really see any difference however in B/W prints people make with other printers or methods and the ones shown on the Piezo site. Here is a reveiw of the process, however:

Why not publish a sample or two?

I sent for a sample print. It is much better than my standard Epson b&w prints. I am thinking of converting my 2200 to just piezo and use my 4000 for color. May be awhile as I have a lot of color ink for the 2200 that I need to use up.

M,
Where are you getting sample print?
I have heard that the 4000 is better for B&W than 2200 {FYI}.

www.inkjetmall.com for the sample

You have to flush your printer of the color inks before you change to piezo. It is too expensive to do that on the 4000 everytime you want to go b&w. I rarely make b&ws above 11 x 14 so the 2200 should be fine. The 4000 is faster and uses ultrachrome inks but remember once you change to piezo ultrachrome is not part of the equation so the 2200 should be fine for what I nee.

I'm using the bulk ink system (Warm neutral inks, portfolio black) on my 1280 and it is FANTASTIC!! One of the best decisions I've made in 2 years.
