Security Holes Bite Firefox

Firefox has been hit by no less than eight security flaws, six of which are also found in the older Mozilla suite.

The vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to take over an affected system, carry out cross-site scripting and bypass some security restrictions, the Mozilla Foundation warned at the same time it released patches for the holes. Independent security firm Secunia gave the updates a "highly critical" rating.

Thanks dude, just updated.

Security holes... it just never stops.

I'm banking on the fact that most, though certainly not all attacks will be on IE. Some people crack software just to see if and how they can, some of them want to attack Microsoft because it's a profit oriented giant. The Firefox community ain't hurting anybody so they have less enemies.

Thanks again.

Experience and common sense has taught me that there is no such thing as secure software or systems.. You can have a warm fuzzy feeling at best..

I think the reason hackers attack IE more than FireFox is that there are a lot more IE installations.. The more impact they have the bigger the press coverage.. Just like most terrorists and other criminals, they just want attention.. Somebody please change their diapers..

Others do it out of jealousy that Microsoft made it big and they didn't.. And others are just plain-old idiots..
