Can anyone tell me why this looks bad when I print it ?

I shot some stuff in raw and for the life in me I can't get any of the images to look right when I print them. They all look like they have a green and blue tint to them. It should print out on a 4x6 card. I tested my printer on another image that I shot with my lites and it looks good so it's not my printer.

FWIW - What mode do you have the file in? Should be in RGB. I had one in the wrong mode once and it had problems.

I made them in rgb and srgb and the print looked about the same. I just don't see what would make them not print right.

Time to color profile your monitor and printer? dunno if you ever have or have not, but its that wonderful state of what you see isn't what you get. So with a spyder, or eye one, optix, whatever you can get, make what you see... what you get

Just curious: What kind of printer and camera do you have?

Are you converting to profile or are you assigning it? Are you printing from the RAW in CS or from a JPG(or other format, ie PSD) that you saved from the RAW?

I open the file in the rew format in Photoshop cs. That when it looked right I clicked ok and it shows up in the regular ps window. I made some adjustments and saved it in the working profile RGB 98 . I have also saved it in psd format and saved for the web srgb format. None of them printed right.

Can't help you on the Nikon aspect. I had green tint problems on the Canon 300D. Can't help on the printer either. I had print tint problems with the Epson C84.

Make sure you have a printer profile for the printer-paper combination. I don't know if the 4x6 paper is the same type of paper as the problem print. Also, make sure you are printing on the correct side of the paper.

How about two more cents?

I'm guessing you get the opportunity to use a variety of products. It would be a favor to me if you could gice me some advice.

When I can afford it, I've been thinking about getting the EyeOne Photo. Given that budget range, do you think that's a good choice?

I print with Epson 2200s, a 10000 and hopefully a 9600 in the near future. I use Media Street inks and a variety of papers in the 2200s so it would be nice to be able to profile the printer whenever I use a new paper. Mostly I use Trinitron CRTs for color work. I'd like to profile my Imacon but I just don't have the cash to swing the full EyeOne setup.
