OK, here is my dilema, Nikon D100 need to use stroboframe pro rl (new)I have Metz 54MZ3 (like it love it)now the problem, what do I need to use to mount flash on bracket and connect to camera, Metz foot does come off to attach to hotshoe, the toss up on combinations is confusing, Do I use the plain foot on the bracket, connected to Metz and the SCA 3008A to connect or the SCA 3083? I do have the SCA3000C to connect my Metz 45Cl to this rig but I am trying to make it smaller and lighter. Anybody have any ideas??

I assume your flash came with the SCA 3402 module for Nikon. If it didn't, you need that for TTL flash metering. If you've got that then all you need for a single flash is the SCA 3008A adapter. The SCA 3008A has two ends. One end replaces the SCA 3402 module at the base of the flash. At the other end of the cord is a receptacle where you insert the SCA 3402 module. Attach the SCA 3402 to your hotshoe, and attach the flash (with the attached 3008A module) to the bracket.

You only need the SCA 3083 if you want to take advantage of TTL metering with a second/third/fourth/??? offcamera Metz flash. In this case, the 3083 acts as a receiver, and the Metz flash connected to the camera (master flash) acts as a transmitter. When the camera quenches the master flash, the main flash quenches anything with a 3083 attached to it.

Chip, thanks for the reply. Yes I do have 3402 module. Now does the end (3008A) that mounts to the metzflash have a foot to mount to stroboframe bracket?

Yes, the 3008A has what looks like an SCA module on it, but it's just a cold shoe with a thread in the bottom of it. You could mount it on a light stand but the cord only gives you about 3-4' of reach. The SCA/cold shoe part slides into the flash, right where the TTL module goes. You then take your TTL module and slide it into the other end of the 3008A and mount it on your camera. The flash/cold shoe assembly mounts to your bracket.
