You got some good advice in here. 300 whatevers per inch is a good rule. However, like mentoned, I have gone and seen 150 work.

A lot of folks like to use Qimage to do all their printing work in. It will do a very good job of interpolating and printing, and it will save custom printer and paper settings so you won't have to remember them if you do different sizes with different papers often. Qimage has many many fans, and I am one.

Also, if you DO wish to resize in PSCS, use the "Bicubic Smoother" and "Bicubic Sharper" choices under Resample from the Image resize dialog. Smoother is used when upsizing, and sharepr is for downsizing. The old 10% rule does not have any real affect in PSCS (did in older versions).
