I know I have asked this question before in a round about way.
I have an S20 pro...and Ive read alot of talk about lenses, for the Nikons and Canons...however I havent read of anyone using lenses for the Fuji, my question is, Im shooting in a studio 20'long by 12' wide. the only lens I have is a wide angle lense(which I dont use in the studio). Im wondering should I go with a tele photo lense? if so, I dont see many for the fuji cameras. will the nikon and canon lenses fit this camera? if so any recommendations for my shooting space? Im sorry if this seems really vague, Naive. Im a newbie so bare with me..Im shooting with just the standard lens on built in the camera. Stick with this? okay okay...that was more than one question...Ive done searches on google and only come up with two fuji lens options.
Don.

The problem is, you have been receiving advice assuming you were using a digital SLR and you are using an upper end point and shoot. With an SLR, you can buy professional grade lenses. With the point and shoot, you are stuck with what it came with. The SLR has interchangeable lenses. Unfortunately, the point and shoot doesn't.

What you have will do you well as a starting point. You can learn light, composition, etc. But if you want to go with better quality glass, you’ll have to upgrade to a SLR at some point. When you get to that point, you’ll want to not only look at the cameras, but also at what lenses are available to go with the camera.

Keep practicing and count your blessings that your wife will pose for you. Mine is convinced she looks terrible in pictures, so she seldom is willing to pose for me.

Fuji SLR's are compatible with AF Nikkor (Nikon) lenses. They have Nikon F mount, and therefore you cannot use Canon lenses in Fuji SLR's. Did your camera come with a lens? If you want to go for a telephoto (which would be better for glamour) buy something like Nikon (Nikkor) Zoom Telephoto AF f/4-5.6G or similar. I just bought this lens for my Nikon SLR and it is pretty good for the price (around $100 including shipping). 70-200 alos would work - in my opinion.

His camera has an intergral lense, it's not an SLR. He's stuck with what it's got.
