Here is an image that I shot at about 8AM this morning outside the scene of a horrific shooting that left some 8 people dead yesterday in Brookfield WI. just a few miles away from my studio.. This will most likely be published in a business publication that I shoot for..

I do see a little flare but it isn't too bad....considering that I am shooting nearly directly into the sun.. I know that my 15mm fisheye would have been awful with this shot...that I managed to get at 250th @ f8 and 100iso.. RAW ...so, with that, I see no need to buy the 14mm f2.8 L lens any time soon for the 20D bodies..nope!

After using this lens for the last two months, I have grown from hating it to loving it! It is built a little fragile...but I just keep iit in a Tamrac lens case that zips around it.. I can post several more examples from this lens if anyone wants to see them..

Wow, JP, you were so close to that incident, all I can say is, I'm glad you were not at Church that day...

I recently got the Canon 14mm 2.8 Lens and I have had mixed results shooting Models (keep in mind I have a 1.3 conversion factor). but I am looking forard to taking it to Hawaii in a few months.

I have a freind who is very interested in the 10-222 Lens and has a 20D also, so more shots would be very helpful...

I had a little fun with the 10-22 today.. I had a shoot with Milwaukee Brewers new owner, Mark Attanasio. I....well,......I got in his face a little as you can see.. I was real close and I just love the look I got from this perspective..(which I saved for last because I kinda figured that the shoot would have been over once I got in that close).. He was a great subject to photograph,...that's for sure..

Here is a "landscape" of the Marquette Interchange,...actually a small part of the largest freeway reconstruction project in our state's history, and I got up on an adjacent building's roof next to the work being done and shot as wide as I could.. I had to darken a portion of the image so that it would be editorialy useable.. Both of these shots were at the 10mm mark.. So far, I've been pretty happy with the 10-22mm lens.. I do hope however that they come out with "14mm like" f2.8 of course, for the EF-S line up, or even a "15mm fisheye like" f2.8 EF-S lens for the 1.6 format.....now that would be cool!
