Mike,

Do you have Nikon CAPTURE? If so, applying batch changes to similar images is just a matter of using the TOOL>BATCH command.

After rotating my images in VIEW, I group all of the images of a particular set (similarly lighted / similarly posed / similar corrections) in a separate folder, open one of the images in CAPTURE and do whatever I need to do (sharpening, exposure correction, curves, etc.) and then use the TOOLS > BATCH command to apply the current settings to all of the images in that folder. It's quick, painless, and works well... don't have to mess with PS at all (CAPTURE is definitely quicker in this case! at least for me).

Lemme know if that doesn't help.

I never went for the nikon capture software. I had the software that came with the camera but it expired before I had a chance to use it much. I have photo cs and I am learning it little by little. I think I have this problem licked..Thanks anyway..

I use the Capture 1 software from Phase One for that type of batching... hell, for all my workflow. Very little touchup in PS.... you can check out a demo version at www.rawworkflow.com.
