Hey, I seem to remember a post SOMEWHERE in the forum about a conversion for B & W via Photoshop, a link was even provided and it worked via the actions. I have searched for hours and cannot find it. Can who ever posted that darn thing please post it again please. Crashed yet ANOTHER Western Digital drive and am reloading all my software. Thanks in advance...

I know there are free actions out there, but from my experience, the Fred Miranda B+W plugin (you have to buy it but it's worth it) is highly recommended.

about 29.95 but worth every penny.. trust me

P.S. I don't work for Fred Miranda and I bought my own and swear by it..

Hey Ralf, haven't seen that thread, but, check out Image > Calculations

then select the desired "Blending" and select the "Result" to "new document"
