Good. I'm glad you found what you needed. That camera was around long before PCs (personal computers). That is where you plug in the PC sync chord to trigger your off camera lights.

Go to http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/camera/f_camera.html and click on 1976-1986. Then click on New F-1. That's the camera you have. Here's one listing for a manual for it http://www.camerabooks.com/acb/showd...ID=750&CatID=2 . If you add the power winder (the one that uses a rediculous number of AA batteries) you will get some extra metering functions.

If it were easy, everyone would do it! You're kind of lucky you don't like the equipment. No seriously, I'm not joking. A lot of male photographers fall in love with the equipment and its engineering. I fight this urge all the time. It's a distraction. It doesn't matter if you shoot Canon, Nikon, or even Pentax (gasp! no he didn't! )they'll all produce remarkably similar results. Caring less about the camera might allow you to focus more on the subject of your photography. Buying the same brand paints, brushes and canvasses as Picasso won't make you paint like him, so why would buy the same camera as Helmut Newton make you a good photographer? Stay focussed on the end result and keep hatin' the equipment; it's job should be to get out of your way so you can create anyways.

Thank you James, that makes total sense to me. I never would have realised that without you pointing it out hon. I think what I'll do is try pics with each one and which ever does best I'll use that I guess.
I am going to Lewiston in a few hours. Anyone have any film names I should get? I usually use the cheapest ones I can find.
Are films better for certain cameras?
I'll get it in color film. I saw yesterday a guy had black and white he turned into from color. I think thats what I'll do is just go with color and then after I'll see what they look like in black and white.

I always used to use Fuji film. Not only was it generally less expensive that Kodak, but I like the realism of the colors better. The greens and cyans seemed to really be green and cyan. Of course, digital has changed all that. Now any color can be any other color or even black and white.

This is Jill in "burnt sienna".

Martina,

I use AGFA film in my 35mm camera mostly. I also use some Kodak, but the AGFA "Vista" you can still get a package of 6 rolls for about 15 or 16 dollars. I buy the 200asa, and get some great color from it.

I use some fujifilm, but I likethe AGFA better.. but that is only my personal feeling.
