Well another RAW converter program has joined the frey. There are the big guns like C1 and Photoshop CS (ACR) and now:

And its free. Its written by the programmer of C1 and, did I mention, its Free. So far it looks pretty good. Its Windows XP only right now and needs a Pentium processor at the moment. But it has a very clean workflow that is sort of a cross between ACR and C1. Its multiple compare feature and rating tagging is really nice. Very fast conversions and very clean right out of the box look to the conversions.

Worth a look if you want to expand your RAW conversion options. I tested it with the Canon 20D and will post a few samples shortly.

Cheers,
rfs

Here is an example shot:

I just processed each in the default mode of each converter.

I tried it. It's not bad but there are, naturally for new software, a few bugs. One large one with AMD processors which renders the output a blank black image.

Also, the author of this converter is a former PhaseOne developer, so the product should be an excellent one, once development matures.

I agree, although I no longer use BreezeBrowser after the breach of promise problem that Breezesys decided on as a business model.
I normally use ACR 2.4 since it is built in to PS CS and makes for a very clean workflow, with no temp TIF files cluttering up the hard drive.
