I bought Elements a year ago and Adobe just sent me a discount card to buy Photoshop cs for $299 , Is it worth it to buy it ?

I'd have to check but I think $299 is half the regular price. I think it's worth it. You may have a learning curve -- but it will do all the stuff you're doing in elements in (I think) the same way. So you can keep doing what you're doing -- but add the capability to do LOTS more.

In a word, yes.

If nothing else, you can sell the copy of CS and double your money.

I already have CS, so this question is out of curiosity. What are you guys doing in CS that you CAN'T do with Elements?

Elements didn't used to have the healing brush. I'm not sure if the newest version added that or not. And you couldn't use color spaces other than Adobe RGB and convert to sRGB. The main reason I upgraded to PS 7 was to be able to create profiles for my lab.

[/ QUOTE ]Oops... then you better not read the New Features in Elements 3.0, found on the Adobe site which says: "Work with your digital camera raw data files and use 16-bit image support for smoother, more accurate color and overall great results."

I can load raw files in to it and then you get 2 settings you can ajust. WB and Exp . What bugs me is you can't do Batch work.

Just to use the curves feature (once you learn it) is worth the cost alone, thats what I think anyway.
