I just ordered the above mentioned cd burner so that I may reuse my flash cards while on a shoot, anybody familiar with them? any problems? any good ideas?

Regards,

I bought one a little over a year ago,... and it didn't work out of the box...it would not burn a CD for some goofy reason,...and after lengthly tinkering with it by several people, I returned it for a new one that worked well,... but, I didn't use it after I bought my lap-top computer.. for one, I can store 40gigs on it, I can see the images right on it, and edit them while playing music.. I think you'd be better served by a 12" computer.. they aren't much bigger but you have a ton more options..

Oh, sorry,... I sold my one working Apacer porta burner already.. Yep!

I have one and I love it. It's quick and works everytime. I enjoy NOT having to shlep my laptop if I really don't have too. I recomend you get a second battery if you're gonna be out for a while and can't recharge.

Go fourth and burn!

Not quite as beautiful to look at, but the road store pro will do what the apacer can do as well as burn to DVD. Might be worthwhile depending on the amount of images and the resolution you shoot them at.

All in all though, have heard good things about the apacer, I prefer the Flash Trax from Smart Disk though (portable HD)

Do you have to shlep a 12" viewable computer or larger....say like a 15" or so?

My next notebook will be a 12". The ones they build now cost less than mine did and feature a HD that's twice as big plus, mine and the one I'm getting both have fire wire ports...and with my fire wire reader, (Lexar $50.00) I can upload images a lot faster than I could with my porta CD burner..and it burns CD's a lot faster too.. and I can fit it into any back-pack, or camera bag as well.. Yep!

i have one and its always been reliable. i also have a laptop, but there are times and/or shooting locations or conditions where the apacer works out better for me to pack with my stuff.
