I am setting up a website for our local guild and we want a forum for our members...can anyone reccomend a script of program that is good for this type thing?

punBB and phpBB are both well-regarded if your host provides you with MySQL and PHP capabilities.

check out vbulletin.com...versatile, full featured, and a bargain. php based (so will run on any platform w/mysql), good community of help, etc.

Depends on the technology supported by the host.

There are a number of free board available to you, but some are ASP, some are Cold Fusion, some are PHP, some are CGI, etc., etc.

Check with your host to see what programming languages are supported by the server they have you on, then repost the question here (fwiw, I love Snitz for ASP-based websites)
