Is anyone using one of the ViewSonic G series monitors? I'm looking at the G90FB 19" in specific.

Good bad or other opinions?

I got the P95F+, ordered it today... wish me luck...

Check my post a few days ago titled "FYI - such a monitor deal ". I considered the Viewsonic, and its probably pretty good, but the La Cie has a better reputation and I believe is cheaper on this site.

ViewSonic's Pro series monitors are UNBELIEVABLE. I have a P815 that's probably 7 years old now and it's still spot on exposure and colors. The current version of my monitor, the P225f, is even better.

Ya know how Mercedes or Jaguar can build a fantastic high-end car but they're so unfamiliar with how to economize that when they try to build a low-end model it ends up having half the features of a Ford and STILL costing more? That's VS. Their low-end monitors (the A and E series) are not competitive in their segments but the Pro series is a leader in the high-end segment.

The G series is somewhere in the middle. They're not top-of-the-pack but they're still great monitors.

Thats a great model. I have sold many of them. I am the Viewsonic partner for Utah. Have been for over 10 years now. The G is the graphics series. Thier mid range product line. The E series is entry level. The P the pro series. All and all they are built the same. Quality does not seperate the series. Just features do. Refresh rates, etc. I sell more of the E series because of the price and they are good for all around use. The G is always bought by my Engineer and CAD people. The photographers and commercial artist like the apperature grille models in the P series. You can put any model of Viewsonic next to what looks like a really nice monitor of equal features and the Viewsonic will always have a better image. That is one of my best sales tactics.

Bottom line....you can't go wrong with any of the Viewsonic product. They have held the number 1 spot in the monitor industry for many years.

One exception. This years P220F and P225F have had some manufacturing issues. I would not recommend those to anyone at this time. Unless you like sending an 85# monitor back and forth.

I am not the cheapest source, since my focus is on local business rather then internet sales. But your welcome to check them out at my company anyway

I have both the G90FB and a LaCie electon blue 19". The LaCie is far and away a better monitor in my opinion. There are some pretty good deals on them right now for around $300 to be had...I think I saw an earlier thread this week with this monitor at $300 or so from PC Nation.
