My E-1's card reader apparenty went belly up on me.
Yersterday it just stopped reading the cards. I have five cards, 3 Memorex, 1 Sandisc and 1 Lexar. They work just fine in the card reader on the computer but not in the camera. Kept getting card error messages and the camera won't format them either.
Called Olympus and they said to send it in. The E-1 System has priority repair service so it should be back by Monday or Tues next week.
I was planning on heading up to central Wisconsin this weekend to take some fall color shots. The colors should just about be at their peak this weekend up there. I had a couple of places in mind to take some shots.
Don't know if I can bring myself to digging out the film camera and using that.
I got weened from spending money on film and processing.
Maybe I am jinxed when it comes to digital cameras. I had to send in my Coolpix 5700 to repair the flash under warranty last spring. Maybe I should have kept it for a back up camera.
My film cameras have never been sent in for repair and I have had one since 1970 and the other since 1985. I did send in my Minolta SRT 101 to get cleaned because the view finder got real dirty inside from taking lots of pictures at motocross races
Still love my E-1 though.
